Chill Out Chews — calming treats for dogs who need a hand

Fenton here. Some dogs take the world in their stride. Others hear one firework and decide the sky is falling.

If yours is the second sort, you'll know the routine. The hoover comes out and they're behind the sofa. The postman steps on the drive and it's chaos. Car journeys are a whole negotiation. And you can't sit them down and explain that the bangs will stop eventually.

That's what these are for — daily treats to help support your dog through the stressful stuff.

When they help most

  • Fireworks and thunderstorms
  • Vet visits and grooming appointments
  • Car travel and kennel stays
  • Being left alone in the house
  • New homes, new people, new dogs

How many to give

  • 23kg and under — 1 treat a day
  • 23–34kg — 2 treats a day
  • 34kg and above — 3 treats a day

Once daily, or as needed. For best results, give around 30 minutes before a stressful event. Always leave fresh water down, and check with your vet first if your dog is pregnant, nursing or on medication.

Be patient with us

These aren't a sedative. Supplements take time. Give them a few weeks of daily use before you decide whether they're helping your dog, and bear in mind every dog responds differently.

If they're not right for your dog, tell us. We'd rather hear it than not.

  • L-tryptophan

An essential amino acid that’s the natural precursor to serotonin—the “feel‑good” neurotransmitter. Helps promote a relaxed, balanced mood without causing drowsiness.

  • Chamomile

A gentle, time‑honoured herb rich in apigenin and other flavonoids that act as mild, natural sedatives; supports restful behavior and can soothe upset tummies, too.

  • Valerian root extract

Contains valerenic acids that modulate GABA activity in the brain, encouraging calmness and easing tension, especially during noise or separation stress.

  • Hemp seed oil

Packed with omega‑3 & 6 fatty acids (in the ideal 3:1 ratio) plus γ‑linolenic acid; supports a balanced inflammatory response and may take the edge off anxious behaviour. (No THC or CBD—just nutrient‑dense seed oil.)

  • Ashwagandha

An adaptogenic botanical that helps regulate cortisol, the primary stress hormone, so dogs can stay centred and cope better with day‑to‑day triggers.
